Moudon Beauregard
Overview
Intro
A beautiful view of the mountains. An unusual hiking trip with views of the pre-Alps that alternates between forest and country paths.
The walk, which starts in the Moudon Station car park, lets walkers cross the town and see its beautiful architectural heritage, and leads visitors to the forest nature reserve of Péquinsin. Following the yellow signs, the trail passes the Beauregard refuge, the ideal spot for a picnic, and continues towards the farms of the area known as Planche Signal. Crossing the Planche Signal and Blonay woods, visitors and hikers will rediscover their original path that leads back the historic upper town of Moudon.
- The “balcony” forest path through the Vaux woods requires a certain degree of surefootedness and may not be suitable for those with a fear of heights.
- Recommended equipment: walking shoes with grooved soles and walking poles.
This walk is one of hiking trails around Moudon available on their website.
