마을 위 45m 높이의 바위 위에 세워진 이 롯지는 특별한 위치가 자랑거리이다. 엘리베이터에 올라 터널을 지나 바위 위로 올라가면 거의 해발 1,650m 높이의 로비로 들어가게 된다. 30개의 객실 중 12개는 스위트룸이며, 도서관, 오픈식 벽난로가 있는 레스토랑, 라운지 바, 회의실, 와인 저장고, 그리고 체르마트(Zermatt)의 건물 지붕들이 내려다보이는 일광욕 테라스 두 개를 갖추고 있다. 웰빙 시설에서는 마테호른(Matterhorn)의 경관이 보인다.

뉴욕 출신 건축가 알리 테일러(Ali Tayar)는 고전적인 마운틴 롯지를 현대적으로 해석해냈다. 그 결과 발레지방의 재료와 장인정신이 미국의 현대풍 가구와 멋진 조화를 이루고 있다. “캐번(Caverne)”은 거친 화강암을 깎아 만든 곳이다. 동굴을 채우고 있는 반짝이는 강철 구조물 아래로는 온천수가 보인다. 블랙 스톤, 강철, 유리, 나무를 재료로 채워진 공간이 매우 아름답다.
