Passports and visas

General facts

All travellers must be in possession of a valid passport. A visa is required for stays of more than 3 months. Visa-exempt third-country nationals wishing to enter the Schengen area must apply for an ETIAS travel authorisation online before travelling. Travellers from the EU can also enter the country with an identity card (ID card).
