Intro
Zernez is situated in the upper part of the Lower Engadine. It is the starting point of many hiking tours leading to the National Park. But even the tours on flat terrain along the Inn River are very scenic.
Description
Zernez - Susch – Lavin
Starting at the Zernez Railway Station, follow the "Via Engiadina" in the direction of Susch. At Fuorcha turn left and hike towards Susch. In Susch turn right on the main road and after about 100 meters follow the hiking trail leading to Lavin. In Lavin hike in the direction of Stazium. Trains run regularly from the Lavin Railway Station to Zernez.
Romantic wilderness forests alternate with green meadows. The mighty peaks of the Lower Engadine rise around the trails. On the way you will find the villages of Susch und Lavin. Susch, at the foot of the Flüela Pass, with its many houses built in the Graubünden style, is especially a feast for the eyes.
