Intro
The Via Alpina is the best-known long-distance hiking trail in Switzerland. From east to west, hiking route number 1 connects the most beautiful hiking highlights across the country over 400 km from Vaduz in Liechtenstein to Lake Geneva in Montreux. The Via Alpina is experiencing Switzerland up close! The third section leads from the mountaineering village of Kandersteg into the gentle Simme and Saane valleys and across the language border to the rocky cliff of Rochers de Naye, with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva, where far below in Montreux the finish line of the Via Alpina is crossed. On this comfort trekking, you hike with a light daypack. Your luggage is transported from hotel to hotel.

- From the deeply incised Kander Valley, past the mighty Wildstrubel, to the wide Simmental and Saanenland, the mountain world could hardly be more contrasting.
