The district around Zurich’s Langstrasse has a turbulent past. Today, its authenticity, multicultural diversity and cosmopolitan outlook are what makes it special.
The two districts nestled on the left and right sides of Langstrasse are popular among trendsetters from around the world, and are an insider's tip for shoppers. Over the last few years, many artists, architects, designers, fashion designers and innovative gastronomes have established themselves in the city’s former red light district, which was also once predominantly a refuge for poor, young families.
