Intro
An educational footpath is situated in the Zau Zoura forest, uphill from the village of Ayer.
A pleasant 3 km walk that takes between one and three hours, this path allows you to discover the rich diversity of the forest and its flora and fauna through the seasons.
There are information panels in several places that tell you about the local vegetation, and a free explanatory brochure can be obtained from Zinal tourist office. When you know all there is to know about the forest, take a well-deserved break at the Déjert refreshment bar at the start of the trail and enjoy the view of the "Couronne Impériale" (the "Imperial Crown" mountains).
