Your companions on this stage are Idyllic villages with timber-framed houses, tranquil lakes and ponds. On past the Nussbaumer and Hüttwilersee (lakes) in Canton Thurgau and the Husemersee (lake) in the Zurich Weinland, via the Cholfirstwald forest to Feuerthalen ZH and the town of Schaffhausen.

Along the Rhine, the border between lands and landscapes, heady at the thought of wine through Swiss-German Klettgau, a roomy valley between Wutach, Rhein and Randen before a sober awakening in the spray of the thundering Rhine Falls.

The Herzschlaufe Napf is a spectacular discovery trail all the way round the Napf. Three days of being guided through this wild trail in Switzerland. The route leads over promising mountain ranges, through deep ditches and picturesque town centres. E-Bikes are recommended and can be rented.

On the climb to the Klausenpass, the Urnerboden, the largest Swiss alp, the other side of the 1948m pass the Schächental, a mountain landscape with the traditional farming method of moving livestock from one grazing ground to the next.

Following the winding River Birs the plain of the Jura capital to Delémont. Through a gorge to enter the ravines of the Gorges de Pichoux, soon to reach the raw grassland and pine landscape of Franches Montagnes.

Discover the Swiss capital from an entirely new perspective. This route starts and ends at the river Aare and takes you round the southern part of Bern and its quiet, picturesque scenery and villages.

This route featuring scenic attractions such as the Uina Gorge and the Val Sinestra takes you through three countries and across four mountain passes. Intact Engadine villages and a varied cultural and natural landscape in the Rhaetian Triangle complete this route.

After the Olympic capital of Lausanne, the route leads uphill into the terraced vineyards of Lauvaux. A bracing section but one rewarded by the wonderful surroundings of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Then follows the descent to Vevey, Montreux and the romantic Schloss Chillon.
