Description
Ambience:
The Blockhaus Erezsäss seats 150 people inside, and on the sun terrace outside, there are approximately 300 seats. With its lambskin covers and red woollen blankets on the chairs and benches, the big terrace is so comfortable that some guests end up staying longer than planned. For those who want to stay overnight, the upper floor offers seven comfortable double rooms with a shared bathroom in the hallway and four simple shared rooms for groups of ten.
Location:
A two-minute walk from the valley station of the Schiferbahn, at 1,560 metres in the Gotschna/Parsenn ski resort. By ski or snowboard from Davos Dorf via the Weissfluhjoch, taking piste 17 first and, after the crossroads, piste 24. From the village of Klosters Dorf, ski sports enthusiasts take the path over the Gotschnagrat and the Furka T-bar lift, then follow piste 18 to the crossroads and eventually piste 24 to the valley station of the Schiferbahn.
Cuisine:
Typical mountain hut cuisine: Caesar salad with fried chicken breast slices or tiger prawns, sausage and cheese salad, beef tartare, cheese and dried meat platters, truffled potato soup, spare ribs with vegetables and jacket potatoes, burgers, veal sausages with onion sauce and Rösti, grilled spring chicken with vegetables and rosemary potatoes, minced meat with Hörnli pasta and apple puree, spaghetti Bolognese or Napoli, Capuns, white sausage with sweet mustard and bretzel, foil baked potatoes with sour cream and salad, Flammkuchen; and for dessert, apple strudel with vanilla custard, custard cream cake or freshly baked cakes. Guests staying overnight get to enjoy a four-course menu and a hearty breakfast.
