A natural haven of peace located on Montriond hill in the heart of Lausanne. In this little green paradise, full of brightly coloured flowers and large trees, you’ll be able to escape into a haven of relaxation – even though you’re practically in the city centre still.
A visit to Lausanne’s botanical garden is a must for all nature lovers. With just a short walk, you’ll find yourself in another world entirely. The beauty of the carnivorous and tropical plants in a thousand different colours will affect young and old alike. From the smallest blossoms to stately large trees, this magical place showcases a total of 6,000 plants from all around the world.
With botanical collections from the Canton of Vaud and a specialised library, the botanical museum keeps a list of rare and threatened plants with the aim of protecting the regional flora.
