Bürgenstock
Hint
Intro
A mountain with an impressive view. The no less spectacular Hammetschwand lift and the rocky path: that's the Bürgenstock. Not to be forgotten, of course: The world-famous Bürgenstock Resort is also located here.
Bürgenstock at a glance
The Bürgenstock offers a variety of hiking opportunities. Established between 1900 and 1905, the Felsenweg is a traditional, even mythical mountain hiking trail that leads to the 152.8-metre-high, free-standing Hammetschwand lift.
The lift connects the Felsenweg with the Hammetschwand vantage point, from where you have a view of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains.
The Bürgenstock Resort, which reopened in 2017 after 9 years of construction, now comprises three hotels, extensive wellness facilities and a number of gourmet restaurants.
The Bürgenstock Resort is located in the heart of Central Switzerland on a spectacular mountain ridge overlooking Lake Lucerne. The resort stretches over 1 km and is a 60-hectare landmark of the mountain.
