Description

The building dates from the 19th century. Behind this splendid façade you are invited to journey to another age. Inside the house, the original decoration has been preserved and everything reflects elegant. The bedrooms are decorated individually and remind visitors that time has no hold. The simplest things blend subtly together – carved beds, arolla pine-wood parquet, generous fully-lined curtains. The 200ms spa, L’Eau des Cimes now nestling in the south-west wing of the house offer an area of pure serenity. Your will discover the pool at the heart of a light and luminous spa area looking out over the extraordinary wild mountain scenery. In the flickering glow of the fire, streamlined reclining chairs invite you to have a beneficial rest. Jacuzzi, steam-bath’s, bio-sauna, ice fountain and three delightfully welcoming parlours procure our guests a total wellbeing.
The hotel is situated at the entrance of the old village of St-Luc. The bus stop "ST-Luc, Bella Tola" ist just facing the hotel.

Certified by ICOMOS

Historic Hotel of the Year 2001 Originally built in 1859, the hotel was expanded for the first time ten years later by renowned hotel architect Louis Maillard from Vevey. On a terrace overlooking the mountain road, the Bella Tola embodies the style of a typical alpine hotel of the 19th century that, thanks to further additions, has developed into a Grand Hotel. It remained in the hands of the same family for three generations, after which it was changed into a shareholder company before finally falling into the possession of Anne-Françoise and Claude Buchs in 1996. The new owners are restoring the hotel to its former glory by renovating various parts of the building in stages. The overall historical appearance has been kept intact, and the original floors and windows have been stylishly restored. The personal commitment of the current owners is inimitable, and a stay at this jewel in Val d’Anniviers is a real experience.
