Intro
Over the fire or in modern copper vats – this exhibition dairy covering 17,500 m2 gives you an up-close look at how the famous Emmental AOP is manufactured.
In addition to production, which can be followed live, there is much more to discover and experience at the Emmental show dairy. On the Königsweg, the indoor experience for the whole family, you can learn more about the production and history of Emmentaler AOP. Or lend a hand and make your own Stöcklikäse or cream cheese as a group.
We serve freshly prepared regional specialities in our cosy restaurant. The original Emmentaler AOP is available in various degrees of ripeness in the cheese shop, along with around a hundred other types of cheese and specialities from the Emmental. Various bread specialities can be found in the Meier show bakery in the old cheese dairy.
On the grounds of the Emmental show dairy you will find a large playground, a sunny self-service terrace and a dwarf goat petting zoo.
