Intro

The Gempen tower is a gorgeous viewing platform and a popular destination for hikers, walkers, nature enthusiasts, and tourists.

The tower has five stories, is 28 meters high, made of steel and offers stunning views of the Basel region, the Alsace, the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest. It is therefore a popular destination for day trips in the greater Basel area. Admission to the tower is one Swiss franc. Many attractive hiking paths lead to the tower, some are quite steep. It is also accessible by car. Parking is available at the restaurant near the tower.
