Spiritual rejuvenation in this beautifully renovated monastery, which is home to a small Benedictine community. The 30 cells formerly occupied by the monks are bright and stylishly furnished and all have desks and modern bathrooms. Regional and seasonal specialities are served in the restaurant. Charming Pilgrim’s room, banquet hall. Drinking water from the Abbey’s own spring, beer brewery. Concerts and cultural events.

All rooms have been renovated and updated, but the monastic flair is preserved. There are 29 double rooms and one single room available.

The monastery offers a rich cultural programme. Classical concerts by selected ensembles, top-class orchestras and choirs in the acoustic intimacy of the library, the huge church or outside promise a unique concert experience. A living monastery and at the same time an open seminar and conference hotel.

Swiss Historic Hotel

The imposing Fischingen Monastery has prevailed over the rolling hills and vales of pine cones since 1138. The impressive monastery complex is something quite unique. The historical monument offers a whole host of exciting places to meet, including Switzerlandʼs first monastery brewery; romantic gardens; a baroque concert hall and the monasteryʼs very own carpentry shop. The former monk quarters have been transformed into comfortable and stylish rooms with parquet floors and bathrooms. Public tours of the monastery also take place on a regular basis.
