Nussbaumen
Hint
Intro
Nearly 6,000 years ago people first began to settle in the Lake Constance region. Remains of this impressive settlement have been found by Lake Nussbaumen near Hüttwilen.
Nussbaumen at a glance
Those interestig remains belong to the so-called Pfyn culture, and are of enormous potential for archaeologists. A signboard on the idyllic Horn peninsula tells the exciting story in brief. Various unspoilt bathing spots invite visitors to take a refreshing dip in the water. The bathing facility itself is excellently equipped with plenty of room to play, relax and (of course) swim. A barbecue site and diving platform are also available. The idyllic bathing beach on Hüttwilersee lake, with a shingle and sandy beach and restaurant, is also close at hand.
Bathing in the nearby Hasensee lake is prohibited!
