The sunny terrace above the Urnersee lake is both a holiday resort and starting point for beautiful hikes over fields and mountain forests. Observing nature is a popular passtime here, along with lengthy hikes over the Rophaien wild hay-making trail, or the Schächentaler highland path direction Klausen Pass.
Paragliders profit from valley winds and mountain-bikers revel in getting underway direction Hüenderegg. From Flüelen a cableway runs to the Eggberge, arriving in solely nine minutes.

Train to Flüelen, 10 minutes on foot to the valley station, or bus from Flüelen and Altdorf to the cable railway; mornings and evenings direct buses run from Lucerne via the motorway to the valley station; cable railway up to Eggberge
