Intro
The fascinating Rhine Gorge world of the Ruinaulta is located not far from Bonaduz. It is one of the most spectacular and diverse landscapes in the Alps.
This is a wild gorge with raging waters, steep white walls and extensive forests. The quiet lakes are filled as if by magic and rare birds breed in the alluvial forests. This little paradise is even home to orchids.
It is easy to discover and explore the Ruinaulta while on your own. A dense network of hiking trails, a range of bike routes and many beautiful resting places for the weary visitor are located in the forests and along the Upper Rhine itself. Three stations of the Rhaetian Railway (Trin, Versam-Safien and Valendas-Sagogn) are set at the entrance to, or even in the middle of the Rhine Gorge.
