This country inn is situated one kilometre from the centre of Kandersteg, opposite its sister hotel the Doldenhorn, whose indoor pool and wellness centre can be used by Ruedihus guests free of charge. Eight charming rooms, two junior suites and two restaurants: The Chäs u Wystube (cheese and wine bar) with raclette, fondue and rösti, and the elegant Biedermeierstube with Swiss specialities such as Sure Mocke (wine-braised beef), Zürigschnätzläts (sautéed strips of veal, served in a cream sauce with rösti) and Blauseeforellen (Blue Lake rainbow trout).

Swiss Historic Hotel

Built in 1753 in the original chalet style with an ornate facade, bull's eye panes and rustic interiors, it is one of the most beautiful hotels in the Bernese Oberland and enjoys the protection of the Swiss Confederation. The guest list is full of celebrities: Kings, princes and United Nations Secretaries-General have all spent the night here. This is in part thanks to the hotel's lush grandeur.

Distinguished "for the careful restoration and general renovation of the valuable country inn". This representative hotel and tavern, located on the Gemmi and Lötschen pass routes, was built in 1793 for the district administrator Peter Germann. The main façade bears numerous inscriptions, coats of arms and paintings. Although the building went through several stages of renovations during the 20th century, a significant part of the original structure remained intact. Since 1990, renovations have been underway to preserve the historic building. Some of the most important interventions have been the careful renovation of the restaurant, the judicious restoration of the old hotel rooms and their partial refurbishing with period furniture. Another impressive feature is the inclusion of a historic ornamental garden in the complex. The hotel's marketing philosophy clearly underlines the traditional aspect of the premises. This hotel still has part of its original structure and this creates a distinct feeling of wellbeing.
