Description

Casa Begnudini, the "Rifugio del Paesaggio", is located in the Bavona Valley (Switzerland, Ticino), which branches off from the Maggia Valley, and is the steepest and most rocky valley in the entire Alpine region. The stone walls that enclose the valley are visible traces of the former presence of the glaciers. At the back of the valley is the Robiei area, which can be reached by cable car and lies at the foot of the Basodino glacier. Located in the Terra di San Carlo, a few steps from the Basodino restaurant, the post bus stop and the starting point of various hiking trails, the house is an easy accommodation for groups. The renovation work has recently been completed and was carried out in full respect of the original features of the building, in order to preserve its charm and ancient value. It consists of a main building that can accommodate up to 16 people and is structured as follows: on the ground floor there is a large, well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom with shower and a laundry room; on the first floor there is an atrium, 2 single rooms and a large five-bed room; finally, in the attic, there are 2 rooms, one with 6 beds and the other with 3. All rooms are equipped with wardrobes, shelves, a small table and stools. Next to the main building there is a small rustic cottage, called Stallino, which can accommodate two people. This two-storey cottage has a kitchenette and a table with stools on the ground floor and two single beds on the attic floor.
