Colline de Daval
Overview
This moated castle on a small hill in the Rhone plain south-west of Sierre was built in 1949 to provide a water supply for the vineyards. The building is made of stone blocks, with an eight metre square tower, giving the castle a medieval appearance. Now guests are able to stay the night here in the heart of the wine-growing region, in bedrooms named after five different grape varieties.
Hotels of the Month
The (former) old water tower “le Castel de Daval” was built in 1949. It was used for the storage of irrigation water for the vineyards and as shelter for the winegrowers. The current castle offers five rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, kitchen, dining room and an attractive outdoor area. https://www.collinededaval.ch/en/
