Description

The Hotel Sonne is a cosy, friendly holiday hotel that welcomes its guests both in summer and winter. These are guests who are looking for relaxation and at the same time appreciate the many sporting opportunities in the midst of the mountains, be it hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding or golfing. The Glacier Express station is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The hotel rooms offer ample space for one to six people. All rooms have TV/radio, a sitting area and a bathroom with shower. A bicycle and ski room, as well as free parking and free Wi-Fi are at your disposal. In a casual, friendly atmosphere, the rustic restaurant with summer terrace invites you to enjoy warm cuisine for lunch and dinner.
The canton of Uri is located in central Switzerland between Lake Lucerne in the north and the Gotthard Pass in the south. The destination of Andermatt lies at just under 1500m in the south of the canton, about 1.45h by car from Zurich, and is ideal for excursions into the mountain world of the cantons of Uri, Graubünden and Valais. The historic building of the Hotel Sonne is located in the old centre of Andermatt, the main village of the Urseren Valley with the skiing area Andermatt-Sedrun. The municipality, with a population of around 1500, lies on the Reuss river and reaches up to the Oberalp Pass, which forms the cantonal border with Graubünden. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel is the railway station of the Glacier Express, which runs from here in both directions - Zermatt and St. Moritz. It is only a short hike to the famous Devil's Bridge over the Schöllenen.
