Snowsure and carbon-neutral: Arosa enjoys a wonderful location: at the far end of the Schanfigg valley, at an altitude of 1,800 m, with no through traffic and few – if any – day-trippers.
Instead it has aboveaverage sunshine and, thanks to its northerly orientation, abundant snow up to the doors of the mostly pisteside guest accommodation. Top tip
Arosa's mountain huts are legendary: with sunloungers to relax on, DJs creating a chilled atmosphere, and mouth-watering delicacies fresh from the kitchen. You can reach them on foot as well as on skis.
